Track record

Former COO of Tabs. I built its creator program to 100M monthly social impressions, and the paid ad engine alongside it. The numbers below come from videos that program produced.

At Tabs I ran this same playbook: a wide roster, one variable per test, losers killed early, winners moved into paid. Athletic fit menswear is a category I have not run, so the first month on Tailored Athlete is about learning which fit, fabric and offer lines hold attention on a built body, before I scale anything.

Why now

  • 11716

    Reviews on one product page

One page reads "Based on 11716 reviews". Customers already talk about this fit in writing; creators turn that into video, and those reviewers are the first recruiting list.

    Published
  • $175+

    A clear shipping line

The "FREE SHIPPING $175+" line gives every creator a basket to build on camera: a 3-Pack with chinos, or a coat on its own.

    Published
  • 10%

    A first-order offer

The site runs "JOIN US AND GET 10% OFF FIRST ORDER", so a viewer meeting Tailored Athlete through a creator has a reason to try a first piece.

Part 4 of 15

Principles

  1. The fit is the brief

Every video puts a Tailored Athlete piece on a built body: chest, shoulders, taper. Seven videos a creator a week, one variable per test, so 303 a month show which product and hook hold.

  2. Claims come from the sheet, word for word

Creators say "True Muscle Fit" or "Fabric: 93% Cotton, 7% Elastane" as tailoredathlete.com prints it. A video that breaks the sheet earns no $50 bonus and never goes to paid.

  3. Pay is banded, capped and known up front

Base $300, $500 or $800 by band, caps at $600, $1,000 and $1,500. All 10 creators at the top cap is the $15,000 ceiling, bonuses excluded. A Tailored Athlete hit does not move it.

  4. One workspace, one Monday number

Briefs, claim questions, drafts and posted videos live in five channels. Tailored Athlete reads one number every Monday: cost per 1,000 views against the $1.00 target.

Briefs, drafts, reviews and the weekly numbers

Illustrative
  1. SamMon 8:30 AM

This week: Smart Chino Side Adjuster Pants in Dark Taupe with the Pants Offer (Buy One Get One Free). Hook: "Soft cotton-blend with 4-way stretch", then a deep squat. Seven videos each, one variable per test.

  2. MarcoMon 10:00 AM

Can I call the Funnel Neck Short Jacket in Chocolate a wool jacket? It feels heavy on.

No. Say "Premium Heavyweight Wool-Blend: Luxe finish with warmth and structure" word for word. The label reads "Fabric: 76% Polyester, 4% Wool".

  3. SamTue 2:00 PM

Jake, your Luxe Sweat Hoodie in Chalk draft goes back. The overlay says free shipping on everything; the line is "Free Shipping on Orders $175+". Also say your size before the mirror shot. Re-cut and resend.

  4. TrackerAppWed 10:00 AM

Pre-post check, Marco, Athletic Fit Favourites 3-Pack: #ad in line one ✓, size stated ✓, Size Guide linked ✓, claims match the sheet ✓. Cleared to post.

  5. TrackerAppThu 6:00 PM

Jake's Pure Cotton Knitted Textured Crew Neck Sweater in Iron Grey fit check passed 100,000 organic views. $50 bonus queued, his one for the month. Flagged for a paid test.

  6. TrackerAppMon 7:00 AM

Monday report posted in #monday-report: creators live, videos by Tailored Athlete product, views, cost per 1,000 views against the $1.00 target, top hook per creator, flagged claims.

The messages illustrate the working channel, with invented people: briefs go out on Monday, claims questions get an answer the same day, and nothing posts without the check.

Part 5 of 15

Formats

  1. The 3-Pack fit check

    Brief 01

    The 3-Pack fit check

“Perfect fit from the moment you try it on.”

Mirror, one take: old tee off, black True Muscle Fit tee on. Raise arms to show the raglan sleeves, then turn to show the taper.

  2. Knit texture close-up

    Brief 02

    Knit texture close-up

“100% pure textured cotton: Breathable, soft, moisture-wicking”

Macro on the knit of the Pure Cotton Knitted Textured Crew Neck Sweater, then pull back to the full fit across the chest, outdoor light.

  3. Chino squat test

    Brief 03

    Chino squat test

    “Soft cotton-blend with 4-way stretch”

Smart Chino Side Adjuster Pants: close on the side adjusters, a deep squat, then the Pants Offer (Buy One Get One Free) on screen.

  4. Gym to dinner in a half zip

    Brief 04

Gym to dinner in a half zip

    “Designed by Athletes. For Athletes.”

Cut from a gym bag to the Textured Knitted Half Zip Neck Sweater at a dinner table; one shot of the zip and shoulders, no voiceover.

  5. One white tee, three outfits

    Brief 05

    One white tee, three outfits

    “Signature muscle fit”

Same white muscle fit tee three ways: under a shacket, under the Car Coat in Black, alone. Hold on the chest and sleeves each time.

Every product line in a video comes off the claims sheet word for word, for example “True Muscle Fit”, “Perfect fit from the moment you try it on.”, “Free Shipping on Orders $175+”. Product names are said as printed.

Part 6 of 15

Recruiting

Four sources in

  • Tailored Athlete reviewers

One page reads "Based on 11716 reviews". Reviewers who also post their own gym or office content get a creator invite through the brand's post-purchase emails.

  • Rewards Program members

The banner reads "Our Rewards Program Is Live — Sign Up Now". Members who post fit content get an invite inside the rewards emails, already wearing the brand.

  • Lifters and ex-athletes on TikTok and Instagram

Search for men posting about shirts that will not close over the chest or sleeves that pinch the arms: the exact problem the True Muscle Fit is cut for.

  • Affiliate or ambassador page

I did not find an affiliate or ambassador page on tailoredathlete.com. The application form for this roster becomes that page, linked in the footer next to Contact us.

Five filters, fewer each step

  1. 1Build matches the cut

Broad shoulders, narrower waist: the body the Funnel Neck Short Jacket and the 3-Pack are cut for.

  2. 2Says his own size

Will state his size on camera and link the Size Guide in every Tailored Athlete post.

  3. 3Real audience

Median views and comments checked by hand; no bought followers. Read before any Tailored Athlete piece ships.

  4. 4Clean history

No steroid, SARM or supplement health claims in past posts, nothing at odds with Suits & Tailoring.

  5. 5Passes a test brief

One Athletic Fit Signature Long Sleeve T-Shirt video, shot to the claims sheet, before he joins the roster.

Part 7 of 15

Who

Buys a size up for his arms and drowns in the waist. Films the True Muscle Fit taper in the gym mirror after a session.

Likely product: Athletic Fit Favourites 3-Pack

  • Ex-athlete at a desk

Played sport for years, now sits in meetings. Shows chinos from the Back To Work Edit squatting, sitting and walking to work.

Likely product: Smart Chino Side Adjuster Pants in Dark Taupe

  • Outerwear-first dresser

Every coat he tries boxes out his chest. Films the funnel neck and the clean taper on a cold street, back and front.

Likely product: Funnel Neck Short Jacket in Chocolate

  • Light-packing traveler

Lives out of a carry-on and wears knit polos to dinner. Shows the extra fine merino polo from the airport gate to the table.

Likely product: Extra Fine Merino Wool Polo Shirt in Mocha Marl

  • Big-build occasion dresser

Weddings and work dinners. Shows the removable mock gilet both ways, from the Occasionwear edit, with his size stated.

Likely product: Single Breasted Overcoat with Removable Mock Gilet in Black

  • Weekend dad who lifts

School run, groceries, a slow Sunday. Wears Luxe Sweat in Chalk head to toe and shows how the smart joggers sit.

Likely product: Luxe Sweat Smart Joggers in Chalk

Left off, every time

Always out: minors; anyone selling steroids, SARMs or supplement health claims; accounts with bought followers; anyone who body-shames; anyone who slims, bulks or reshapes his body in edit. Category rule: the fit on camera is the fit he got in the Tailored Athlete box.

Any video, as the closing line

Never said

Each one with the reason it stays out.

  • Made in the USA

The site says "Shipped from the USA"; nothing read says where the pieces are made.

  • Free returns on everything

Refunds on free-shipping orders deduct the delivery charge, so returns are not free in every case.

  • Free shipping on every order

Free shipping starts at $175; under that line the customer pays delivery.

  • A pure wool jacket

The Funnel Neck Short Jacket label reads "Fabric: 76% Polyester, 4% Wool".

  • This shirt builds your physique

Clothing claims stop at fit. No body or training outcome, ever.

  • Fixes your posture and helps recovery

A health outcome; Tailored Athlete makes no health claim.

  • Fits better than any other brand

A comparison with no source. Creators name no competitor.

To confirm with the brand

Held until someone on the brand side signs off.

  • Premium Heavyweight Wool-Blend

The composition read for the Funnel Neck Short Jacket lists only polyester and wool and does not reach 100%. Confirm the full blend before creators quote fabric.

  • Guaranteed

The badges read "Guaranteed" and "Perfect Fit" with no terms read. Confirm what is guaranteed before any creator says it.

  • Our Rewards Program Is Live

Points and perks were not read, so creators mention the Rewards Program by name only.

Part 10 of 15

Pay

  • Starter

    $300–600

    a month, by band

Starter: new creators on their first Tailored Athlete briefs, mostly tees and the Signature Long Sleeve.

    Bonus at the cap: $300

  • Standard

    $500–1,000

    a month, by band

Standard: creators whose fit checks hold attention, moved onto knitwear, chinos and the Pants Offer.

    Bonus at the cap: $500

  • Premium

    $800–1,500

    a month, by band

Premium: proven creators carrying outerwear, from the Funnel Neck Short Jacket to the Car Coat in Black.

    Bonus at the cap: $700

  1. Under 100,000 views

    $0

The base pay covers the work.

  2. 100,000 views

    +$50 flat

    Whatever the band.

  3. 1,000,000 views

    Top-up to your cap

Bonus = band cap − base pay.

  • One bonus per creator per month, even if two of his Tailored Athlete videos pass the line.
  • Counted per video: one post passes 100,000 views on its own; views across posts never add up.
  • Organic views only; reach from paid boosts of the same Tailored Athlete video does not count.
  • No bonus on a video that broke the claims sheet or the fit rule, like a reshaped body or a wrong shipping line.

Starter: $600 cap − $300 fee = $300 bonus; Standard: $1,000 cap − $500 fee = $500 bonus; Premium: $1,500 cap − $800 fee = $700 bonus.

The bonus pays for reach after the work is done, never instead of it. One bonus per creator per calendar month keeps it an incentive and keeps the program cost predictable.

Simulator

At a 1,500-view median, the model lands at $5.74 per 1,000 views against $1.00. Tailored Athlete hits target only if 4.2% of videos go viral or the median reaches 21,711. Move the sliders.

Above the $1 target at these inputs.

To hit $1, the roster needs about 10.1M views a month. That means about 4.2% of videos going viral, or a median near 22K views per video. That is why the day-90 gate exists: keep the accounts that clear it, replace the rest.

Proposed, not measured. Views = videos × median, breakouts at 10× the median, viral at 750K. Bonus: +$50 for a viral video, one per creator per month.

The math. Videos a month = 10 creators × 7 a week × 52 ÷ 12 = 303. Views per video = (1 − 4% − 0.5%) × 1,500 + 4% × 10 × 1,500 + 0.5% × 750,000 = 5,782.5; 303 videos × 5,782.5 = 1.8M views a month. Cost = 10 × $1,000 = $10,000 base + 1 bonus × $50 = $10,050. Cost per 1,000 views = $10,050 ÷ 1.8M × 1,000 = $5.74 against a $1.00 target. To hit the target, either 4.2% of videos go viral or the median video reaches 21,711 views, other inputs held.

Move the sliders and the label recalculates. The result is only as good as the guesses behind it, so the median views, the share of breakouts and the share of viral videos are marked as Assumptions until the first month of posts replaces them.

  2. Month 1

    Learn the hooks

Seven videos per creator a week across tees, knitwear and chinos. Losers killed early; the hook library starts from the Tailored Athlete fit checks that hold attention.

  3. Month 2

    Promote or replace

Creators whose videos hold move to Standard, base $500 and cap $1,000; the rest are replaced. Winning Tailored Athlete videos go to paid tests.

  4. Month 3

    Full roster, full volume

10 creators, 303 videos a month, about 1.8M views if the model holds. Premium, base $800 and cap $1,500, opens for creators carrying the coats.

  5. Day 90

    Scale, fix or stop

If Tailored Athlete cost per 1,000 views is not moving from $5.74 toward $1.00, I cut creators or formats before any spend rises.

  6. Ceiling

    $15,000 a month, hard

All 10 creators at the top cap is $15,000 a month, bonuses excluded. The Tailored Athlete ceiling does not move without your sign-off, even on a strong month.

From organic to paid

From organic to paid

  1. Pick the organic winner

A Tailored Athlete video that holds attention and passes 100,000 organic views is flagged in #posted the same day.

  2. License it

Consent to run the video as a partnership ad is in every creator contract from day one, so a winning 3-Pack fit check moves without a second negotiation.

  3. Test one variable

Swap the opening from the hook library, or swap the offer line between the Pants Offer and "FREE SHIPPING $175+". One change per test.

  4. Scale while CAC holds

Spend on a Tailored Athlete creator ad rises only while target CAC holds; the Monday report shows which creator, product and hook earned it.

From the video to the checkout

  • Every video sends to checkout on tailoredathlete.com, orders "Shipped from the USA".
  • Chino videos link to the Pants Offer (Buy One Get One Free).
  • Tee videos link to T-SHIRT BUNDLES.
  • Merino polo and zip-through videos link to the Merino Shop.
  • New viewers see "JOIN US AND GET 10% OFF FIRST ORDER"; returning viewers see "Free Shipping on Orders $175+".

Part 15 of 15

Category rules

Menswear rules for Tailored Athlete creators

Clothing carries fewer health rules than food or supplements, but fit, fabric and price claims are where a menswear creator goes wrong. These six rules apply to every Tailored Athlete post, all 303 a month.

  • Disclose every post

#ad or the platform's paid-partnership label in the first line or on screen, on every Tailored Athlete video, gifted or paid. No disclosure means no payment and no $50 bonus.

  • Show the fit you got

No body-shaping filters, no pinning or clipping fabric off camera, no edit that slims the waist. The 3-Pack or the Funnel Neck Short Jacket must look as it did out of the box.

  • Say your size

State the size you wear and link the Size Guide. Fit is the reason people buy Tailored Athlete; a wrong size story breaks the one promise the brand makes.

  • Fabric as printed

Read composition exactly as the label shows it, like "Fabric: 93% Cotton, 7% Elastane". Never call a blend wool, merino or cotton when the Tailored Athlete label says otherwise.

  • Prices and offers as shown

Say $75.00 for the Athletic Fit Favourites 3-Pack, and "FREE SHIPPING $175+" and "JOIN US AND GET 10% OFF FIRST ORDER" word for word. No invented deadlines, no invented codes.

  • Respect the body

No body-shaming, no steroid or SARM jokes, no promise that clothes change a physique. "Athletic Fit: Enhances chest and arms with a clean taper" is the furthest a creator goes.

The brand’s legal team sets the final rules. This is the operating floor I’d start from, not legal advice.
