Know Your Body Type
To find the best fit for your particular body, you have to be true to your shape. Whether you go to the gym or not, your body will fall into one of these three categories. It has more to do with your skeletal structure than your muscle mass.
An ectomorph has a lean, lithe shape. The true ectomorph is often taller than average. They tend to stay slim, although they can build muscle with regular training. Many runners fall into this category.
Dress For Your Type
An ectomorph, being naturally tall and lean, looks good in silhouettes that match the lines of their body. If you fall into this category, you can happily wear skinny jeans, or slimmer pants and shirts meant to hug your frame. However, looser and more relaxed pants and jeans won’t suit you.
A true mesomorph is more muscular, with broader shoulders and of average height. This type naturally builds muscle more easily, as this body type responds well to weight training. Most bodybuilders tend to have this body type.

The endomorph tends to be shorter, stockier, and a bit rounded (especially around the abdomen). This type tends to gain weight more easily and it shows more easily, too. However, like the ectomorph, the endomorph can bulk up their muscle with hours at the gym.
Dress For Your Type
If you’re an endomorph, you’ll look best in straighter pants legs and looser or relaxed-fit jeans. Slim-fit pants and shirts aren’t for you.

I don’t train much — will this still suit me?
Absolutely. You don’t need to train or consider yourself an athlete. Our clothing is designed for men who want a sharper, more considered fit that complements their build and elevates their everyday look.
Will this feel too tight?
No. While the fit is tailored, we use stretch performance fabrics so the garment moves naturally with your body. It should feel structured, comfortable, and easy to wear — not restrictive.

Do your shirts fit like normal shirts?
TAILORED ATHLETE has gathered measurements from thousands of athletes, only to find "normal" shirts no longer cater for the modern man. We have redefined how a shirt should fit your physique, therefore perfecting a 'True Muscle Fit' that not only works in sync with your body but looks great too.
'True Muscle Fit' complements your muscular structure rather than skeletal, which has historically led to boxy, unflattering designs.
What if I am between two sizes?
If you find you are between sizes on our size guide, for Shirts, T-Shirt's and Polo's please go by your closest chest measurement first and then by your waist measurement.
As for our any of our bottoms or shorts, please go by the larger size to provide a more comfortable muscle fit around your waist, thighs and glutes.
I'm muscular with a broad chest but a narrower waist — will this fit me?
Yes. That's exactly the body type we design for. The chest and shoulder cut is generous, the waist is tapered in. You won't be swimming in excess fabric around the midsection to accommodate the top half.
Will it shrink?
Not if you follow the care instructions. Shrinkage is almost always caused by high-heat washing or tumble drying. Wash cool, air dry, and the garment will hold its shape.
Does the 4-way stretch mean it will lose its shape over time?
No. The stretch is built into the fabric construction, not achieved by over-stretching a standard fabric. Wash cool and air dry and it'll keep its shape wear after wear.
When will I get my refund?
We will refund your order to the original payment method once it has been processed at our warehouse.
Please be aware this can take up to 48 hours after your order has arrived. You will be notified once a refund has been processed. We are unable to refund purchases to an alternative payment method other than the one originally used to purchase the items.
Can I buy TA as a gift?
Yes. We recommend checking the size guide before ordering and keeping the gift receipt — the recipient can use our returns portal to exchange for a different size within 35 days of delivery.
